Welcome back to UNM!

The OSE Program will be hosting its annual OSE New Student Orientation Luncheon on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 11:30 AM -1:30 PM at CHTM, Room 103. This is a time when our new incoming PHD and MS degree students get oriented to the program and meet and greet the faculty, staff, and students.

This fall's orientation will have several interesting speakers. We will be hearing talks from many in the academic community. The OSE General Chair, Dr. Daniel Feezell, Dr. Jean Claude Diels, OSE-Co Chair and Doris Williams, Sr. Academic Advisor will be addressing the new students. Dr. Jairo Marshall and Alana Coates of the Graduate Resource Center, (GRC) and Assistant Professor, Holly Surbaugh, STEM Librarian of Library Services will be discussing the various services offered to new graduate students. Some OSE faculty will share their recent research. Our UNM student group leaders from GPSA, SPIE, GSA and UGW will share the social, research and academic mission of their groups.

El Patio Restaurant will be catering the luncheon with meat and vegetarian options.

We hope you will join us for this luncheon to support our new incoming OSE graduate students!

Thank you,
Doris Williams and the OSE Program
